Benoît Barrail was born in Pau in 1981. He began playing the saxophone and then the trombone. He graduated from the Toulouse Conservatory and the Toulouse – Le Mirail University. Then he passed the CAPES and the Agrégation (French music teaching certification). He is a composer and arranger particullary in choirs and wind ensembles, he produces a lot of creative projetcs with differents musicians and ensembles. His piece “Saint-Guilhem et le Géant” (Saint-Guilhem and the Giant) premiered at the Lyon Auditorium during the French Brass Band Championship organized by the CMF (French Music Confederation). In demand for new projetcs, Benoît Barrail continues his composer career while teaching music and choral singing at the Rosa Parks Middle School in Villabé. He also conducts the orchestras of Amicale de Villabé assication. In these schools, he leads various projects related to Choir ensemble, concert band music and contemporary music. 

His works are published by Pierre Lafitan, Martin Musique, Profs-Édition, Flex-Éditions, Sheet Music Plus et Sheet Music Direct.
